Hundreds of foster children in the custody of the South Carolina Department of
Social Services are legally free for adoption. In a collaborative effort to locate
permanent adoptive homes, Heart Gallery photographers volunteer their time and
talents to create unique portraits showcasing these children. The portraits are
displayed at various locations around the state in order to raise public awareness.

- Safe Kids Upstate, led by the Greenville Hospital System Children's Hospital,
is one of more than 300 coalitions affiliated with Safe Kids Worldwide. The mission
of Safe Kids Worldwide is to prevent accidental childhood injury, a leading killer
of children 14 and under.

- The National Foster Parent Association is the only national organization which
strives to support foster parents, and remains a consistently strong voice on
