Our Mission

Our Purpose:

To promote cooperation, communication and better understanding among foster parents, foster parent associations, all child caring agencies and community; to cooperate and take necessary actions in improving foster care services; to encourage recruitment and retention of foster parents and other working it the field of foster family care; to inform the membership of this association and others of the general public interested in the field of foster family care of current information pertaining to the well being of all children and in particular children needing foster care services.

Our Mission Statement:

The mission of the Greenville County Foster Parents Association is to support foster parents in achieving safety, permanence and well-being for the children and youth in their care.

Greenville County Foster Parent Association is a non-profit 501-c3 organization.

Sponsor a Foster Child This Christmas

Summer is almost over, football season is just around the corner and the holidays will soon be upon us! Greenville County Foster Parents Association, and Hands On Greenville are looking for corporations, individuals, civic groups, and others to serve as Wish Granters for our annual Hands on the Holidays program.
Hands On the Holidays provides holiday cheer to more than 500 children in foster care throughout Greenville County. Becoming a Wish Granter is easy – simply fill out the enclosed form and we will send you a wish list for up to 50 children. We encourage you to be as generous as you can, and here are a few guidelines to follow:
• Please spend at least $100 per child
• Please grant as many wishes as possible from the list you receive (we prefer that the children receive several small items rather than one large item).
• Please leave gifts unwrapped. You may include gift-wrap, ribbon and/or gift tags.
Our gift collection will take place on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd. Additional instructions will be sent along with the wish lists.

4 Who Care: Woman Creates ‘New Beginnings’ For Foster Parents

New Beginnings was started by Ashley Genovese though the Greenville County Foster Parent Assoication to help foster families with the basic necessities for when a child when they come into the foster care system. The kit you can call it has some clothing, and other baby needs. Foster families may have as little as a hour notice of a placement of a child. Please click here to watch the video from WYFF4.
